Weight Cut Color Purity Proportions Purity International gemological schools (GIA - CCIP - HRD) grade diamond purity under 10 X magnification as follows. Purity grades: FL (flawless) IF (internally flawless) These diamonds are completely pure under 10 X magnification. _________________________________________________________ VVS1 (very very small inclusion #1) VVS2 (very very small inclusion #2) These have minute inclusions very hard to see under 10 X magnification. _________________________________________________________ VS1 (very small inclusion #1) VS2 (vey small inclusion #2) These have very small inclusions hard to see under 10 X magnification. _________________________________________________________ SI1 (small inclusion #1) SI2 (small inclusion #2) Small inclusions are easily visible with 10 X magnifier, but invisible to the naked eye. They are seen by side of the crown. _________________________________________________________ Piqué 1 (inclusion #1) Inclusion(s) are very easily visible under10 X magnification, but hard to see with the naked eye from side of crown. They do not affect sparkling. _________________________________________________________ Piqué 2 (inclusion #2) Big and/or numerous inclusion(s) are easily visible to the naked eye from side of crown. They slightly affect sparkling. _________________________________________________________ Piqué 3 (inclusion #3) Big and/or numerous inclusion(s) are easily visible to the naked eye from side of crown.
